From the half liter bottle with the retro look label, it pours a hazy pale golden amber with a nice head. The monks brew (hence the name) is labeled an unfiltered exportbier. Enjoyable and worth a repeat!

This is my first description of beer in this style.
Poured from a cellar temperature bottle into a pint glass. Look is hazy pale gold color with a thick white head and heavy lacing. Aroma is grainy and grass like, not to strong. Taste is a bitterness with some sour... maybe a bit of chalklyness. Feel is not overly carbonated, actually pretty flat, and full of flavor. Finish is nicely bitter after 10-15 seconds. Overall I would name this a coating fullness with a bitter aftertaste
