This beer is 5.6 % ABV not 5.8 %.
It pours a nice clear golden yellow color; Nice foamy head and little lacing; Smell is malty; Taste is malty, clean and crisp; Mouthfeel is smooth and medium carbonation. Easy drinking beer for those hot summer days.
¡Salud!

I guess I have to thank the Soccer World Cup for this brew, 'cause a local supermarket is now offering 7 beers from the Kulmbacher brewery in a sort of a celebration or homage for the host of this sport event.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!
:-)
I'm not an expert on the style, no style, actually. But this one doesn't seem to me an Marzen-Oktoberfest, but a typical German Pilsener.
Maybe it's a different beer since,
a) the bottle and label are different;
b) the ABV is 5.6, not 5.8.
c) it's golden yellow instead of amber as the few M-O I've tried
and,
d) it's a more balanced beer and not prone to maltiness as the few M-O I've had up to now.
Or maybe I'm just wrong. :-)
Anyway, it pours a beautiful golden yellow, with a white head that leaves behind a nice widely spread lacing.
Smell is quite balanced, bready, with an obvious maltiness.
Taste is, again, with very well balanced flavors of malt and hops.
Mouthfeel is round, buttery, with a nice bitter aftertaste.
Drinkability is high, especially on a hot Mexican afternoon. ;-)

Says on the label "Limitierte sonderabfüllung zur Kulmbacher Bierwoche", or Limited special bottling during Kulmbacher Beer week". Way cool. Pours a clean, clear yellow-golden, with a dollop of marshmallow-like topping. Head slowly fades, and sticks well on the sides. Nose is easily evident and very bready, along with a light, sharp hoppiness. Good body is present here, and it is fairly smooth, with just a light touch of roughness on the tongue. Flavor is pleasantly toasty, with crackery touches providing a light sweetness. Following this up is a smidge of spicy hops, providing a decent balance to things. In general, though, the toasty maltiness is what lingers here. Nice Bier!
