Nice sparkly festbier. Slightly skunky on opening, although not unpleasantly so. Punchy wiesn taste, nice fruity marzen sweetness and malt. Crisp enough feel as you would expect.

From the bottle, it pours a solid amber with a generous, thick head. Lacing and froth lines the side as you enjoy it! Malt in the nose, as expected. The mouth revels in the gentle maltiness. Yum! Well made Festbier!

Pours a beautiful golden-amber, with a good one-inch white head, that mostly vanishes rather quickly though. Just a bit of lacing.
Smell is faint, although you can pick up some bisquit-bread notes.
Taste is, well, I guess it is just as the label says: Vollmundig Mild (full mild). You can savor all the malts and hop bitterness that this beer throws at you taste buds --in a very balanced mix.
Mouthfeel is buttery, a bit dry and refreshing. Aftertaste is dry.
Drinkability, well, I had this beer last night when weather conditions were still hot and humid (around 90 degrees and a humidity was 55%. Just my typical spring time climate), so it was good, good, good after a very long day that was even hotter: 106 degrees at it's peak.
¡Salud!

This brew came in a four pack of half liter bottles. The Bavarian lady on the label is about as cute as the St Pauly's girl. Well, not quite.
This beer is actually 5.8% not 5.6% ABV. Anyhow, let's try this beer out.
This Maerzen produces a lot more light white head than other Maerzens that I've had. The presentation actually sticks around for a while and clumps together quite nicely. The body is a light golden amber color and is quite clear.
The aroma is dominated by the malt, mostly bready.
Wow this stuff is good. It has a light and refreshing, but yet a slightly syrupy taste. There is a slight hint of herbal character. This feels a little coarse while I sip on this, but finishes off quite refreshing.

Poured a tall, creamy, off-white head that faded slowly leaving specs of lace. Glowing golden beer holds swarms of carbonation. Mild malty aroma is a bit sweet and grainy. The flavor is pretty much the same. Grainy sweet malt with what borders on a sour twang at the end. Light bodied beer that is working towards being crisp. It's a festbier allright, but nothing special and just doesn't do anything for me.

500 ml bottle, now available in Norway (Vinmonopolet, bestillingsutvalget). ABV is 5.6%. Golden colour, large to moderate white head. Nice grassy aroma of aromatic hops (in America it would probably be known as "skunky", sic), some flowery notes too, hints of honey. Easy drinking, the pale malts are fairly well balanced with the moderate hops, some alcoholic sweetness. Does not carry its 5.6% supremely, but this is another OKish German beer - not one Ill search out again, though.
