Bought this at Lidl for 50 cents because it was dirt cheap and because I have never had a festbock. As cheap it was, I got stunned.
Looks richly golden when poured and immediately "reeks" of hops - the way I love a beer to be! Very nice for a start I thought and had the first sip. It tastes something like a very dense, boozed up Czech pilsener, which I also prefer. Really it tastes like a rich Czech beer with a boozy aftertaste - and at 7% the alcohol is definitely there, adds quite a lot to the enjoyment.
I think I will go get a few more of these if still available...
