Bought this at Lidl again for 50 cents after having tried Festbock from Wurmhöringer and I was impressed how good it was despite of being dirt cheap.
This time the stakes were too high perhaps and this märzen just couldn't fulfill the high expectations - or is it just märzen I have a trouble with?
Color and smell are neutral, would expect something richer, impression reminds me of something between a good lager and a pilsener. Luckily the beer is not an Euro Lager, is on the pleasant to drink side - until you find it being a bit too thin and watered down, and the "icing on the cake" is a sudden, a bit unpleasant bitterness that kicks in halfway through. Still, it doesn't leave a bad aftertaste and that alone is appreciated of a beer that is only 50 cents! No overcarbonation, still okay to drink. Not THAT bad after all.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
