Pint at Quay West in Derry with dinner.
Slightly hazy gold with a hint of amber and a small bubbly white head that slowly recedes. Crackery pilsner maltiness light fruit and earthy spicy hops.

500ml bottle from SuperValu, Fermanagh (£2.99):
Fresh with some nice biscuit malts upfront & a subtle sweetness throughout that was appreciated along with a few light sugars. My main gripe with the beer was that it seemed quite weak with too little coming through with both the nose & the taste really but it wasn't a bad tasting beer really.

Bright gold with lumpy white froth. 4
Clean crackery grain and some flowers and wax. 4
Sweet grain, some pear esters, perfume and very slightly grassy hops. 3.75
Apple-cinnamon end and mild tingly linger.
Light, round, smooth. 4
On style - sweet, easy, light. Maybe not the depth or subtlety of the real thing but sessionable like mad. If there’s a flaw, it’s the total absence of hops. And with no place to hide, a brave style to debut with. 4
