500ml bottle from Pyke 'N' Pommes (£5):
Translucent amber with a foamy white, 1cm head that's foamy on the surface e with a bit of shtick too. Floral with faint pine & a light tropical sweetness, there's some mango & citrus too. The taste is a bit lighter & the body is slightly thin, pale malts & subtle tropical flavours coming through. It's sessionable without being memorable or overly pronounced.

Poured from a 500ml bottle purchased in Talbot Off Licence, Dublin, Ireland on the 17/7/2015.

A: Pours hazy bright golden with a foamy white head. Retention lasted a few minutes then dissipated almost completely except for a few large patches. A small amount of lacing.

S: Mild citrus (orange and lemon peel quite discernable), passion fruit, sweet bready malts, honey, brown Sugar. Smells very sweet overall. (I was immediately reminded of Coopers Pale Ale)

T: Slight Grapefruit, Orange, Lemon, tangy pine, honey, and passion fruit. The Sauvin hops give it a dry tangy like finish. Nowhere near as sweet as it's smell suggests. Considerably complex brew. Flavours are quite subtle.

M: Light bodied, low to moderate carbonation, with a thin, watery and very tangy finish.

O: Very fine brew indeed. It has quite a complex, refreshing and subtle flavour profile yet is very easy to drink. One of the most refined Pale Ales I've had in a long while. Considering it's relatively low abv of 4.5% and it's ease of drinkability I think it would make an ideal beer for summer months. Can't wait to see what Northbound has in store for us in the near future!
