500ml bottle bought from The Vineyard, Belfast
Poured a nice deep orange brown colour.. Slightly off white head pours thick and foamy then faded slowly to nice thin layer... barely any carbonation... decent amount of sticky lacing...
Aroma - Nice biscuity / caramel malts, toasty bread, nutty, juicy fruits (oranges, apples, light raisins), sea salt notes, some honey sweetness, light nutmeg, nice peppery / earthy hops..
TasteĀ - Strong biscuity malts, caramel / toffee, again some toasted bread, light spicy / peppery hops, the faintest of smoke, some dark fruits, earthiness, light nutmeg, faint liquorice, some light woodiness...
Feel - Pretty smooth and creamy... medium body... A very drinkable brew
Overall - A very good example of a well balanced and flavoursome Altbier... well worth a try...

Deep chestnut with moussy beige head. 4.25
Brown toast in a big way and a slight bit of toffee. 4
Hit of caramel, more pretzel crust, bit of brown sugar, anise sweets, and grassy Noble end. 4.25
Sponge cake end and clean bitter linger.
Snappy, just past light, some chew. 4
Super deep and complex. Gets all the melanoidans from the dark malts. The hops are big enough, but only because this is on the low end of ABV (5.5%) of the style. I could get very into exploring this. 4.25
