Typical of the Scottish export style, this beer has dark copper colour and a clean, malty, dry finish. An extended boil results in caramelization of the wort.

Vancouver 24/7 2018. 65 cl bottle from BC Liquor Store, Valemount. Very maritime label with Scottish Fisherman with a fishing rod and a good catch.
Pours hazy dark amber with small off-white head. Settles as thin layer of stable foam. Crawling up the side of the glass. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is malty without being especially sweet. Rainy, windy harbour, light smoke, saltiness. Sharp, harsh bitterness in the background.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick texture. Slightly sticky.
Flavor is lightly sweet followed by somewhat stronger saltiness and bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingering. Semi-dry finish.
A very maritime salty, malty effort from Wheelhouse. An acquired taste.
