Cask @ Small Bar, Bristol - Pours jet black with a medium tanned foamy head. Nice lacing. Aroma - Roasted malts, dark roasted coffee notes, light maple notes. Taste - Sweet, roasted coffee, dark chocolate, strong maple feel and a dry bitter feel at the back. Really struggled with the back end of this beer with the syrup clashing with the bitter finish. Much prefer the balanced Super Deluxe stout.
