We’ve been playing around with this recipe for a while and after a few experimental brews, eventually launched it last November and have been super stoked with the amazing response we’ve had to it, smashing it on Untapped

L- Black, entirely black, unusually even a halogen torch held to the back of the glass sends any light through it. Pours with 2mm deep tan head.
S- Like smelling a bowl of whipped cream + chocolate milk, both notes are super-prominent.
T- The smell reads-across directly into the taste. Notable creamy (as in dairy notes) so presumably brewed with lactose? Then clear dry cocoa+richer choco notes. There is an ABV% flourish on the palate in the finish, like a biiig shot of brandy (or similar) has been added to the choco milk. Oh, there are vanilla notes going on here too...
F- I was 1/2 expecting to find this all a bit too hipster/youthful, too sweet etc. In the event the pungent cocoa+hops side goes a good way to providing balance.
O- You want MASSIVE cocoa/chocolate? It's here in spades. It's certainly of a more youthful contemporary style yet nothing is that OTT it offends this 50s hop-head.
ps. Reading the lable now I see that I got the notes^ unusually accurate for a great change! It notes...
