This place was included in our weekend pub crawl, and it was worth the drive off the main highways. We stopped here to try their beers and to have a mid-afternoon lunch. The brewpub is situated in a new building that is connected to a bowling center just at the southern edge of town, but I did not notice an entry between the buildings. There is plenty of parking at the front. The interior vibe is decent with the brewing equipment visible through windows up front and a long bar to the left. Plenty of tables allow for an adequate amount of seating, and there is a patio at the rear for more room in good weather.
There are 12 taps that included 10 house beers, one guest beer and one cider the day we visited. We ordered a sampler flight of 4 beers to try to arrive at an overall evaluation of the brewery's beers. We had a porter, an amber ale, a brown
ale, and an Irish red ale. The abv on these beers ranged from 5.0 to 5.4 percent, a bit low on the average, but it was just the happenstance of the choices that we made because the rest of the beer list had mostly higher abv levels. However, the beers that we chose did suffer a bit with flavor, and probably because of the lower abv amounts. However, each was brewed to style. Consistency should be noted too because we scored all 4 of them at 3.5 (out of 5).
The food that we ordered was very good, and the menu has a lot of choices. We enjoyed our selections. Service at the bar was very good. I noticed some bottles of liquor, so there is a limited full bar service. There were 7 TVs scattered around the pub, so sports are probably easily viewed here. The brewpub is a worthy visit.
