First time I've had a Gratzer. Good and refreshing. Light smoke, good carbonation. This a bit light but you don't expect anything heavy. No bitterness, no hop profile, just light smoked malt and grain

Beer style is obviously a grätzer/grodziskie rather than a Belgian pale ale as stated in the description.
A: Extremely pale yellow/hay, cloudy with a thin white foam with quite a good retention.
S: Smell is very smokey, on the bacon side, with also lemon, hay and scorched grass. Very good balance between the strong smoke/leather and the light citruses.
T: Taste is also balanced, with strong smokey flavors upfront and light citruses behind with some funk, hay and yeasty flavors. As it opens the citruses become more and more promenient so that this gets really esay to drink. The smoke reappears at the back end of the throat and lingers in an impressive way given the low ABV.
M: Mouhtfeel is really good, with a fine and soft carbonation. Smooth palate.
O: Very pleased by this. A good example of the style and well crafted. I had never heard of this brewery but will definitely try to taste more.
