Golden body, slight haze, white collar. Aromas of fruity malt, light spice, slightly sweet. Belgian yeast and candied fruits, sugary. Medium bodied. Pretty good.

Big fruity nose with melon, peach and perhaps papaya supported by spice. The beer pours bright orange amber under a 2” rocky white foam cap that produces a thick line of lace with each drink. It’s a very fruity palate with big melon and peach flavors supported by citrus, some light caramel and light biscuit. Medium body and carbonation.

A brilliantly clear gold with a 1 finger head of foam that seems to last but does leave nice lacing behind.
The smell is yeasty, fruity..peach?, kind of spicy, bananas, for sure.
Fruity taste, again peaches?, bananas, coriander, hint of clove, dryish, candi sugar like sweet notes.
Medium body, almost medium carbonation.
It's good.

Poured from a 750 ml bottle into a Duvel tulip glass. Bottled on 4/24/14.
Appearance: Pours a deep and hazy golden orange with a moderate amount of bubbles. About two fingers of off white head which settle into a thin creamy layer.
Smell: A spicy and fairly sweet Belgian style aroma with hints of dried fruit and caramel. Belgian yeast with hints of clove and pepper. Pale malt with hints of wheat, straw, grains, sweet caramel, and cracker. Sweet hints of Belgian candi sugar. Fruit esters of banana, apple, pear, and white grape. Also some bubblegum hints. Background hints of earthy and floral hops. A pretty nice aroma.
Taste: Like the nose suggests, a spicy and sweet Belgian style taste with notes of spice, dried fruit, and caramel. Upfront Belgian yeast with notes of clove and pepper spicing. Pale malt with notes of straw, wheat, grains, caramel, and cracker. Sweet notes of Belgian candi sugar along with some bubblegum. Dried fruit notes of banana, pear, apple, and grape. Backing presence of hops with some earthy and floral notes. A solid taste.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a carbonation level on the heavier side. Spicy, smooth, and drying on the finish.
Overall: A solid take on a Belgian Golden Ale. Nice presence of spice with the fruit and hop notes.

Splash Down pours a darker golden color with a nice large lacing head. There is a very very sweet candy like aroma, with some spice notes, a bit offensive. The taste is full of spice, with just a small flavor of Belgian candies. Nice flavors, but flat body. Overall its an easy drinking and full flavored beer.
