Nose is coffee and milk, taste is mostly sweet milk and slight coffee. I applaud a coffee beer where you get coffee flavor without it overwhelming with coffee bitterness.

Served on nitro-tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a pitch black color with a thick white foam head sitting atop the brew. The nitro driven foam has a fantastic level of retention, fading slowly to leave tons of thick foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is big of a roasted coffee and char smell with some lighter aromas of sweet milk and cream. A tiny smell of chocolate and vanilla are there as well rounding out the aroma to produce a very dark and lightly sweet smell.
Taste – The taste begins different from what I was expecting from the nose. The nose wasn’t overly sweet, but the taste was very much so. A huge sweet cream sweetened roasted malt taste with a hint of coffee were there right upfront. As the taste moved on the sweet milk flavor gets even stronger with some caramel and vanilla joining in as well. A bit of char and some grain come at end, helping to balance out the sweet a bit, and end up leaving one with a very milky sweet and roasted taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – As with most nitro’s the feel was creamy and smooth. The creaminess was very nice for the sweet and roasted flavors of the brew, almost giving a somewhat dessert like characteristic to the brew.
Overall – While on the sweeter side this was a very enjoyable milk stout overall. They certainly do pack a whole lot of flavor in a lighter abv. of only 4.7%, making this one a great more sessionable dessert like beer.
