this is wonderful beer, elite level ipa, strikingly interesting on the hops side, done with the new and now fashionable pink varietal, perhaps along with others, very impressive, as good an idaho ipa as i have had in some time, and a standout from a very beery session with a lot of great beers in it, the first new one ive had from these guys in awhile too, just fantastic. neither clear nor hazy, unfiltered looking but light still, a wispy inch of white holds pretty well, some lace as it drinks. absolutely popping aroma here, red berries, pink lemonade, weed gummies, pineapple from the can, and an up front intensity that usually comes from hop products not pellets, its high saturation and early starting and fruity like a bag of skittles, yet also its not sweet, intriguing, fresh, and uncommon even, wow. the flavor is even better, really vibrant hops, maybe the best showcase of pink i have known to date, id love to know a little more about this recipe, the beer is awesome, fruity without being juicy, candied without being sweet somehow, notes of tangerine, ripe strawberry, meyer lemon, cotton candy, papaya, and the dead center of this is the climax, just brimming with distinctive high thiol hoppy goodness seemingly without relying on an engineered yeast to pull all of this forward. real light and almost inconsequential grain base, but this isnt out of proportion, and its clean on the finish for what it is, not bitter really at all, at least not in a lingering way, and its not all oily and long, its actually quicker and pretty drinkable for how bold it is. enough carbonation, easy. what a great hop profile on this, i hope to track down more, one of the best hoppy beers ive had all summer so far, surprised this isnt getting more attention!
