Glowing orangey color in the big tulip. It looks exactly like the kind of rose wine that has a tawny cast. Plenty of carbonation but not much head.
This is pleasantly tart, and on the dry side with a hint of sourness. Only slightly sweet. Less of the usual Belgian yeasty flavors. You might wish for more cherry flavor, but it least it's a nice fruity taste, what there is of it. Actually, it doesn't taste anything like cherries, but more like melons and something like guava juice. Some dark, winey flavors to finish.
Overall, this does taste like a washed-out rose wine, but it's drinkable enough. On tap at Pizza Inferno in San Francisco.
