Really nice looking, deep amber in color with lots of carbonation and a good 2-inches off-white head. Smell of caramel malts with some hops. There's also a metallic smell in there. In the mouth it's a mix between caramel malts and more roasted ones, which is pretty nice. You get a good hop bitterness in there too that gives it some punch. I haven't tasted a lot of barleywine yet and it's the less sweet one to date, but that's not really a bad thing, I really like the bitterness in this.
