Pours an opaque deep purple coloration with a large, frothy, pink head that soon dissipates to nothing. Smell is dominated by blackcurrant, with some raspberry and and lactose coming through as well. Taste is a little heavier on the tart raspberry, but still with a good dose of blackcurrant coming through as well, with a medium citric/lactic acidity. Finishes with a medium tartness and acidity, with some raspberry/blackcurrant lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This is a Kettle Sour, so no great complexity is expected, however, there's actually a rather nice balance of tartness, acidity and a very light sweetness going on here, with quite vibrant raspberry and blackcurrant notes, making this a rather enjoyable brew. Very nice, creamy mouthfeel as well.
