Fruity Pooty, a fruit bomb of exotic hops in yo face, is a double IPA with a heavy dose of Munich malt and flaked wheat balanced out with Chinook, Amarillo, and El Dorado hops. We tossed in a Galaxy dry-hop, too. The Brett house strain emphasizes the citrus notes from the hops, and the 10% ABV adds a nice punch on the tail end of each sip.

Pretty sure this is a double IPA and not a wild beer.

Potency and complacency battle each other as this calm and somber fruit beer teases the palate with sweetness and hawaiian punch. But deep within, there's a sinister beer- one that sneaks up from behind and jars you into a non-somber unreality.

Fruity Pooty pours like the classic fruit punch- laced with a cloudy haze and golden, amber, orange, rose and mauve to catch the eye and to lure in the nose. Tropical fruit abounds with a citrus nod and bleeds into the malty sweet taste quite nicely. Fructose, honey and caramel lead the way with a musty backdrop to follow.

While the beer slowly unfolds across the middle, it carries with it the gamut of fruit roll-up character of honey-dipped apricot, mango, pineapple, orange and grapefruit. As the sweetness relaxes slightly, the emboldened "wild" character pulls forth with cedar, cork and oak with a musty basement-like drift. Its fruity and earthy closing character is of bruised fruit and bitter grasses.

Medium-bodied, the beer retains a creamy, wheaten and malt-driven texture that upholds the flavors with much sherbet-like fare. But with a closure of rose, cellar must, and dried tropical fruit, the ale never lets us on to its strength, but rather trails with citrus, pine and chive-like bitterness.
