We live in an ever-changing world. The beer world is no exception, with constantly evolving styles, ingredients, and processes. Future Shock is a foray into this new realm of Hazy IPAs. This creation is generously hopped with Citra and Hallertau Blanc and balanced with a soft malt bill rounded out with flaked outs and Indiana wheat malt. Adapt of become lost to history.

I received this beer from a BIF. First beer from this brewery I get to try. The beer is 49 degrees and served in a snifter. The head of the beer is two fingers thick and has good retention. As the dissipated, it left no lacing on the glass. The color of the beer is SRM 4, a pale gold. The beer is hazy with carbonation bubbles on the sides of the glass.
The aromas in the beer are grapefruit, pine, tropical, biscuit, yeast, earthy, honey, and floral.
The flavors in the beer are grapefruit, pine tropical biscuit, yeast, and honey.
The mouthfeel of the beer is astringent, crisp and clean.
The body of the beer is medium, a medium carbonation, and a full finish.
The beer is leaning towards the NEIPA, the pine notes are there but not as prevalent as the citrus. The beer a good IPA, nothing stands out. A solid beer and a must try for hop heads.

Future Shock - Central State
IPA - 6.5% abv
L - 3-finger billowing head atop an orange/yellow body.
S - pine, citrus, a little cheese.
T - follows the nose. Piney orange-crusted cheesy bites. It works.
F - medium body and carb.
O - I dig this like I dig stinky cheese (i.e. a lot)

Released 2/9/18; drank 3/13/18 @ the Yarchives.
Cloudy yellow/orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice white head; frothy lace.
Lemon, dry wheat & faint cane sugar notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Lemon & faint cane sugar flavors up front; SUPER dry, bitter wheat flavors on the finish.
This was a punishing finish that I shan't return to.

A pint can with no date on it or the four pack carrier. It appears it was just added to the data base here a couple of weeks ago, so I'm sure it's fresh. Pouring in a 12oz. tulip to celebrate Sunday retail alcohol sales that started in Indiana today!
Look- Pours a thin looking cloudy pale yellow. A finger of soapy white foam is generated, then quickly falls to a thin cap with no lacing left behind.
Smell- Grapefruit, pineapple, passionfruit, mango and a whiff of malt.
Taste- Spicy floral, orange zest, a hint of pineapple up front. A malty backbone with a slight peppery taste.
Feel- Very thin and watery with a slightly bitter and dry finish.
Overall- A good beer that's easy to drink because of the very thin feel. It unfortunately misses the mark for the NE style IPA they were trying to capture. The smell was promising, but the spicy lackluster taste and very thin feel were a bit of a letdown. I'm hoping they dial in future batches and produce more quality haze in the state.
