16 ounce can, no dating that I could find on it. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch light tan head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. I like the aroma, the brew smells like cocoa, bittersweet chocolate, roasted malt, lactose and coffee. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's the addition of some oats, earthy hops and burnt/charred malt. Sweet and roasty brew! Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's coating and a bit creamy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good imperial milk stout, definitely worth picking some up!

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque black in the glass with a half finger dark khaki head that dissipates to a thick cap, then has good retention and nice lacing. Aroma of mild dark toasted malt, cocoa, light coffee and lactose. Flavor is dark, lightly toasted malt, drip coffee, milk chocolate and lactose, lightly sweet. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess and good mouth feel. Imperial milk stouts are something that we don't see very often and this one suggests to me that it would be good to find them more often. A little on the sweet side, but not as much as a pastry stout. Flavors are mellow and well integrated. Nice balance of the dark malt, coffee and chocolate with the lighter lactose. The flavor is full throughout the taste into a nice chocolatey malt finish with a hint of char. ABV well covered. I really like this one. As an imperial stout, it is a bit understated, but as an imperial milk stout, it is excellent, which is reflected in my flavor score.

-Look is dark but not a solid. Hues of dark ruby detected.
-Head is a white creamy look. Settles to a small but dense layer thru out which creates a oily spotty lacing that doesnt fade. Reminds me of a Guinness stout.
-Smells of creamy milk sugar. Sweet roasted malts. Some milk chocolate.
-Taste is sweet. Definitely a milk stout here. Creamy milk sugar. Slight roast. Small/minimal hop bite in the end.
Feel is light bodied and smooth. Especially for a higher abv. No alcohol burn what so ever.
