Pint on draught at the brewery. It pours a deep walnut color with a creamy, ecru-colored had and thin sheen of lacing. Its fragrant nose offers freshly-brewed coffee, dark chocolate, cinnamon, tobacco smoke, and pepper. The peppers are potent! Initially, the head overwhelms the other flavors - particularly when the Stout is still at tap temperature. But as it warms the other flavors develop nicely: strong, diner-style coffee, cocoa, vanilla, burnt nuts, and cigar smoke. It takes a little time but the flavors blend and balance well. For a Milk Stout the feel is thick and creamy with low-moderate carbonation. The 5% ABV is barely noticeable particularly because of the heat of the peppers. Overall, if you enjoy peppered stouts, then Mexican Morning is worth seeking out. I suggest that you order it along with another beer (Conclave's IPAs are excellent) and let it breathe and warm a bit to give the flavors the chance to develop.

Consistently one of my breweries. While everyone is focused on IPAs ( and Conclave has their fair share of great ones)— I think some of their best stuff are the non-IPAs they have been producing. MM is no exception and in my top 5 stouts ever. Pours black. Can taste cinnamon, chocolate, malts. Thr Peppers hit your palate upfront, then goes to sweet (lactose?) then back to spicy. I crushed a can as quickly as I ever have a stout which I usually savor… we’ll done.. again

Pours black with thin tan head that lasts. Smell is espresso and chocolate. Taste starts sweet then goes to burn. Feel is export stout, thin and roasty. Overall, if you like flavorful beer that burns, this is for you.
