Poured from a 32oz Crowley. In the current world of ipa dominance (and conclave makes some of the best in no) this is a nice change of pace and really shows Conclave’s range. It really brings me back to drinking a pint in a dark pub in London. Toasted malt/molasses/slight coffee on the nose. The color is caramely ( is that word?) dark brown but not quite black. The mouth/taste is exactly what you would expect of an English ale would taste like— a bass ale on steroids done by a nanobrewey...
Overall another excellent beer from one of nj’s best. Haven’t had an average one yet
