Had on tap at The Glenn Bar & Grill in Northglenn Colorado.
On arrival 1.5 fingers of white head with some nice damage was present on top of a barely hazy golden body. Some nice lacing forms and head retention is decent.
The aroma makes me think Citra WCIPA with a light pineapple guava thing going on in the back. A touch of strange dankness.
Taste follows the aroma, but brings more of the tropical hop notes, but while staying bitter and west coast inspired. There is some slight hop burn before a sweet biscuity malt comes in for the finish. Bitterness builds as you continue to drink.
The feel is full but quite drinkable. Finish is medium long, but there is a definite dryness throughout. A bit too full to be refreshing, but the bar lighting and laid back vibe fit this beer well.
Overall this is a solid beer, and enjoyable if you're into complex semi west coast IPAs. Definitely happier than expected for being just an APA but the malt is still present. Not a perfect specimen, but I like what they're going for here.

Called a citra tropical ale, looks like a traditional ipa, just hopped with citra. No real nose, light flavor, not very tropical. I think if you want tropical/fruit, you need a ddh, this beer doesn't carry that promise. Not bad but really stuck between what it wants to be, east or west coast.
