another fruited sour from these guys, and for me just a little new school and copycat for my liking, hazy and kind of thick and unrefined too, but hey, the cans are cool! this is done with mango and kiwi and lime, which sounds more exciting than it is. the mango is basically just sweetness in the nose and taste of this, and any kiwi character is dominated and covered up by the lime, which is quite intense in here, and easily the most robust of the added fruits. the sourness isnt bad, pretty tidy lacto profile to it, and with a pretty significant pucker which is exacerbated by the acidity and zestiness of the lime in here. there is some sweetness here, some from fruit and some from grain it seems, and the base is earthy wheat i think, but its flavor is kind of lost to everything else going on, so this kind of floats without grounding or balance. the acid has a lemony element to it too, and gets real sour as it warms up a little. more carbonation would help this, and obviously it would be fun to taste the kiwi in this, which really cant be done. in the end, its kind of trying to do what everyone else is doing with sours right now, and it seems to lack the soul i have found in other beers from new terrain. not bad, just nothing real special or well honed here.
