Our play on a yogurt parfait. A golden ale soured with organic yogurt with four live probiotic cultures then layered with lemon peel, raspberry puree, vanilla and lactose sugar. Aromas and flavors of fresh, subtly sweet, yet tart citrus & berry blossoms are abound.

16oz can. Poured out a clear, reddish amber color with a small, off-white head of bubbly foam. It left minimal lacing on the glass. It smelled of creamy yogurt, berries and lemon. Sweet fruity taste with raspberry and tart lemon. Some creamy milk-like taste, too.

Lovely tart raspberries in the smell, with lemons, and a mild sweetness.
Tart and sweet raspberries, fresh squeezed lemons, very fruity sour vs acetic.
Smooth mouthfeel, very delicious sour.

a really intelligent kettle sour here, my favorite fruited one in a long time, and a beer that i think deserves some attention. they soured it with yogurt, which i have seen before, but then basically built it into a parfait as the name suggests, adding lemon, raspberry, and vanilla. it all sounds a bit like a dessert, but the beer is sour enough to drink cleanly, even refreshingly to me, and i was really impressed with this overall, perhaps my favorite beer i have had from these guys so far! it has a pretty deep pink to red color from the raspberries, a natural tang to the nose from that and the lemon and the clean lactic sourness, uniquely balanced and forward, it really pops and makes my mouth water. the vanilla is thankfully relatively subtle, just kind of adds to the yogurt theme, and the milk sugar is restrained enough to not make this sugary in the finish while still adding to the creaminess of the body. i think the lemon and the raspberry together are awesome, i think the souring with the yogurt is professionally done and an overwhelming success here, and i think the desserty elements are not overdone, such a common pitfall in these. this is really dialed in and good, and i find myself reaching for a second pint can without thinking about it, i cant remember the last fruited kettle sour i can say that about! really this is just incredibly good, not too sour, and perfect for summer. these guys have come a long way. everyone who tasted this with us also loved it!
