from my growler purchased while I was there on vacation. poured heavily into my m22 pint glass.
Appearance- a transparent amber color with a frothy off white head that leaves some nice lacing.
Aroma- piney and floral hops with slight caramel malt. not too shabby.
Taste- like the aroma but the caramel malt is trying to overthrow the piney hops. it's michigan hops which suck so take it for what it's worth. still an ipa from the bitterness but i've had west coast pale's that have a hoppier taste. abv is well hidden.
Mouthfeel- solid medium bodied. seems alil slick. good carbonation.
Drinkability- glad i got a growler of this.
Overall- for those who b*tch about ipa's not being balanced this one is for you. the malt is easily detected but balanced more with bitterness than actually hop flavor. still a good beer tho. if they replaced the michigan hops with west coast (yakima valley) hops this beer would be top notch. seems like they threw a ton of hops at this beer and still came out malty. but that's Michigan hops for ya.

Taste: piney, citrus hops that are still gentle in bitterness, woody, smokey caramel malts. Spruce wood mild hop nose. Copper/amber hue, clear, nice refined foam head, ring of lace on taster glass. medium body. Made with Michigan hops, balanced.
