L - it pours a pitch black motor oil. Nice mocha head
S - cocoa, big and very nice peated whiskey notes. Reminds me of one particular Islay whiskey : Lagavulin 16 years old, coffee, nice complexity, booziness but in a nice way
T - Perfect balance. Some sweetness balanced by some bitterness. A bit of acidity, a big oak presence. A big peated malt and iodine presence. The base beer is gracious and wonderfuly improved by the barrel aging. Cocoa powder
M - Smooth, so smooth.. nicely carbonated
O - A wonderful barrel aged beer. Certainly the best Scotch barrel aged I've had to date.
I wish that some of you out there in Europe, and the rest of the world have the chance to try what France has to offer in the craft beer game. Some of the breweries here can make miracles happen and this is one of it. This has not much to envy to some of the best Imperial Stouts I've had the chance to try. World class.
