33 cL can, (apparenty not retired in 2022, the 2023 version is 11.5% ABV) poured into a snifter, in Toulouse, France. A one finger foam sits above black brew.
Nose is dark stone fruits, oak, black strap molasses, malt.
Taste is alcohol forward, the hops and dark fruit notes weave their way through, with oak barrel, leather, licorice, dark chocolate, medium roast coffee, then booze again. The finish reveals subtle bourbon and a sweet lingering oil.
Mouthfeel is rather thin, medium carbonation.
Overall, a decent brew that has Russian Imperial Stout overtones.

On tap at Hagstravaganza 4, Ballymote, Sligo.
Jet black; whisky, wood, + treacle; big licorice + fig, carob, a sweet bourbon hit, + vanilla cola; chewy with some heat.
4 x 5
All present + accounted for. Maybe more dark fruit than I want - low on coffee/chocolate. Nothing really to distinguish this one.
