Crisp, light, and balanced. Made with Saaz hops and traditional pilsner malt, then fermented at a very low 50 degrees.

i believe different from the former limited release version by the same name, as this is now on tap and thus 5% abv, a very flavorful take on the style, been meaning to check this place out since they opened a public space, been enjoying their beer for years now. this is rather hoppy and grainy both, kind of both sides of the style spectrum in one glass. its very blonde, much lighter looking than it drinks, honestly almost watered down yellow looking, nice and clear, some bubbles in suspension but only a short lived head. it smells grassy from the hops, fresh, a little green but not bitter or abrasive, and plenty well balanced by a white bready grain complexion thats earthy and hully but also a little bit sweet to my nose, and the same is true with the flavor, less quick and brisk and bitter i reckon than the best imported examples of the style, not hurting for flavor at all though, and its a fine trajectory, european more on the grain side and minerality profile than the ferment, which is subtle here, a little doughy, and maybe not quite as well lagered overall and clean as it could be. this is best when its frosty cold, it warms up a little fuller and has a linger from the grain, maybe slightly tannic then, not hurting for carbonation. lacking the refinement of the best of these, but not a bad effort. cool place too, definitely one to check out when you are in the area, tons of activities, pool tables, indoor cornhole, even disc golf, way cool!
