A: Pours a dark brown, nearly black color. A small beige head forms and recedes quickly. Light lace is left behind.
S: Toasted malts up front and light roast. Maybe some coffee aromas, while not bad at all, just subtle and light. Would like a more aromatic nose overall.
T: Again, toasted malts and starts off light. Though as this warms the roasted character comes out a lot more. With chocolate and coffee. Also a fair amount of sweetness.
M/O: A medium body with good carbonation. Ultra smooth as the style should be. A good easy drinking stout.
Not the best Oatmeal Stout I have had, I would like this to be a bit more robust. Though certainly not bad, and not nearly as bad as some of the reviews suggests. I'll take the Porter over this one, but still a good stout that I would get again at the brewery.

I created an account literally to write this review. This is not an oatmeal stout in any way whatsoever. The flavor isn't bad but it's not right for the label. I agree with the other user mentioning this is more of a brown ale. I'm upset I paid money for this beer visiting Arkansas.

This was my first oatmeal stout, and honestly, I'm surprised at the low reviews. I really enjoyed this beer. Poured out of a bottle into a pint glass, gave a nice 1/2" head that lingered. Color was almost dark red when held up to the light. I picked up a lot of vanilla and sweetness in the aroma and it was also there in the taste. A bit watery for a stout, and it kind of gave off a 'hot' feeling in the back of my mouth, sort of like a whiskey, which seemed weird because it's only 5.8%. But it could've been due to the food I paired it with (deer tacos). I will definitely buy this again.

The oatmeal stout is one of my favorite beer styles, so I was super excited to try this one, and from a local brewery no less. Overall very very disappointing. I tend to compare all oatmeal stouts I try to Sam Smith's, and this one didn't fare well. I almost thought I was drinking a porter. This stout is watery, not very sweet (for the style), not very roasty, and the flavor has a really odd and off-putting twang to it. Sadly, this beer falls in line with almost all of Diamond Bear's offerings as being mediocre at best.

Dating notch of 11, I have no idea whether its a bottled on date or a best by date
Pours an effervescent mahogany with a thumb of tan head. Above average head retention & minimal lacing
S: Molasses & smokeyness & roastyness once warm
T: Follows the nose, roasty, some carob & dryness as well up front. Some lactic notes, more dryness, cocoa & carob once warm, plus roastyness. Finishes dry, roasty & with molasses notes & a little lactic twang
MF: Medium body with smooth carbonation
Pretty good effort I like this more than most of their offerings, pretty easy to drink

Very Smooth. A little light in body but the flavor is there. The oats give it a smooth flavor unlike a sweet creamy flavor. All in all very good.

This is just a great stout and one of the best beers from Diamond Bear. If only they had an equivalently good lager.

Pours out to a rich beige head that falls to a thin ring. Transparent dark brown--looks like Dr. Pepper. You should not be able to see that much light through a stout. Aroma is more chocolaty and nutty than roasty. Same goes for the flavor. If you had handed me this blindfolded I would think it was their brown lager blended with their irish red and a splash of the porter. No significant roasted barley except in the finish/aftertaste. Mouthfeel is too thin for style.I was expecting something thicker and roastier for a "stout". It tastes pretty good though.
