Appearance:
Canned on 22304 (i think that translates to Oct 31 2022) Light amber copper, nearly clear, creamy buff head that recedes but persists. Not lacey.
Aroma:
Sweet biscuity malt, not much hop at all. Decent.
Flavor:
Biscuity and malt forward, semi sweet and perfectly balanced. Lacks the distinct hop character of a vienna lager, also has a slight metallic note. Not a show stopper but not welcome for sure.
Mouthfeel:
Nominal.
Overall:
When i reviewed this a year ago, I gave it an overall score of 1.68. Back then it had significant signs of infection. Not this time. Aside from a slight metallic wang on the tongue, this beer is "streetable". Not terrible. It's drinkable but nothing to brag about for sure. I root for Diamond Bear because they are good people. Keep your bear feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars.
