Reviewed from notes. On tap at the brewpub. The appearance was a semi-transparent milky brown color with a bar pour’s kind of slim white foamy head that slides immediately off. The aroma had some soft semi-sweet nuts, somewhat roasty flowing into some caramel/toffee burnt malty tones. The flavor was basically the same, somewhat sweet with the same sort of aftertaste and riding on into the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. ABV felt where the brewer projected. Overall, pretty good brown ale worthy of having again if I lived closer.

On tap at the wonderful Dewey Beer Co.
Pours a brown and dark amber color with minimal head, an ultra thin collar and wisps of lacing.
The nose is bready and biscuity. There is a light roast as well. Later, some light brown sugar, tofee and chocolate malt seeetness come through.
On the tongue it feels medium bodied, fairly smooth, gently carbonated but with a slight prickle. It feels lightly roasted. There is a touch of malty sweetness, however, the finish is dry and there is a modest citrusy/ grapefruit like hops presence. Furthermore, it has a zest that is even slightly tart and crisp.
A solid drinkable brown ale, less malt forward than most, good for pairing with a burger or BBQ pork sandwich.
