Had it on tap at the wonderful Dewey Beer Company in Delaware. A stout brewed with Mexican coffee cake, chili, cinnamon and vanilla. Paired wonderfully with a spicy mahimahi sandwich.
Pours opaque black with a hint of ruby red, a quickly receding head leaves a thin collar.
Aromas of roasted malt, cinnamon, vanilla and strong chili spice.
Smooth and medium bodied, fairly light and drinkable for a stout. At first, the chili is barely detectable, subtle, yet, somehow manages to steal the show. Cinnamon, vanilla and a light espresso roast finish complement things. Midway, the chili begins to heat things up, yet, doesn’t overwhelm.
A highly drinkable, perhaps sessionable, stout with a nice spicy twist.

Nitro draft at the brewery. Pours a nice opaque motor-oil black with a persistent, fine-bubbled light tan head. Initial impression is coffee, chocolate, maybe some mint, vanilla - quite tasty. Mouthfeel is thin for a stout. Finish is slightly sweet, with strong coffee overtones.
