Poured from the tapped crowler into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Turbid slightly like appearance, opaque but with a good lemon glow and touches of orange hue. Creamy white top, two fingers, making a slightly bowled puck and crown. Not bad, if slightly lifeless.
Aroma hits a hop crunch blast. Citrus notes of lemon and orange, with large amounts of pine and spicy herbs. Malt presence just flat out takes a bake seat from the hops, that bounce all over. New age, pine classic, to spice and then tropical citrus. Great blasting nose that doesn't go overboard.
Creamy but subdued mouthfeel, but with a more impressive blast of hops that also makes sure to add the classic bitterness. Clean and fruity mixes of pithy grapefruit, a touch of pineapple, but lots of pine and minty blasting hops. Finishes with pine air freshner blasting feeling, and clean mint chewy character. Good mixing malt sweetness to bring a touch of balance.
Classic NE IPA quality, but stays away from box juice sweetness. Very nicely done and impressed. New age hopheads will be very happy.
