Drinking on tap at Dewey Beer Co.
Pours a very turbid and murky straw beige color. NEIPA look all the way. The only knock on appearance was the lack of head; it was more of a thin ring of lacing.
A strong tropical fruit punch aroma hits the nose. This is followed by citrus fruit.
Very strong sweet and juicy flavors, including mango, passion fruit, followed by a grapefruit, tangerine and lemon zest that adds a sting. The grains provide a nutty malt and oats flavor. As per style, little to no bitterness. Some mild spicy hops flavors, grassy and slightly dank, make their way midway and add a nice balance.
Medium bodied, frothy and creamy. Alcohol very well hidden. Nice dryness to the finish that balanced out the juiciness.
Well made NEIPA true to style. Although not a huge fan of the style, I must admit it was tasty.
