According to the label on the pint can, this version registers a 4.5% ABV. All sixteen ounces fit nicely into a clear glass liter mug. It's color is light pinkish-mauve and it's dull, cloudy and opaque. The smell of strawberries hit the nose upon the cracking open of the can. This drinks as expected from a Gose, lightly and somewhat sour. Disappointingly, there's less strawberry flavor than the nose promised. Also, it's a bit starchier and sweeter than many of its style. That makes sense, considering the strawberry pretzel salad description from its name. The pretzel aspect comes through in a slightly salty and wheaty way. Like most Goses, there's no glass lacing to see, but that doesn’t reflect on the body. There's a fuller and smoother mouthfeel to this than most in the category. Perhaps the extra starch may offend Gose purists, but here, it makes this enjoyable.

On tap at Dewey Beer Co, Dewey Beach, DE.
Pours a hazy pink, strawberry color. A minimal head soon dissipates, while there is some lacing.
The aroma aligns with the name of the beer. Dominant and sweet notes of strawberry purée supported by hint of pretzel, salty and cracker like. There are also aromas of cream and wheat malt backbone.
Tart and fruity with a generous flavoring of strawberry along with acidic notes of lemon, lime and lactobacillus. The pretzel provides a lightly salty touch, cracker and dry. The cream and wheat contribute to a fluffy smooth mouthfeel. Light to medium bodied and moderately carbonated. A tart and dry finish feels refreshing.
Perhaps a bit too much sweetener for the style. Nevertheless, it is tasty and a refreshing Gose for a hot day.

Pours a hazy strawberry-rhubarb red color with a finger of purple-tinted head. Solid lacing.
Lovely lightly-sour gose aroma with strong strawberry and cream undertones.
The taste follows the nose, with the strawberry and cream jumping out, landing on top of a nice sour base with definite saltiness to it. There is a sort of pretzel-dough quality as well, but that may be psychosomatic.
A touch heavier bodied and certainly more creamy than usual for the style, with a very slight grittiness as well.
These guys make top-notch fruited sours and this is no exception. The strawberries and cream really pop.
