From the can it pours a clear yellow straw color with visible carbonation. An aggressive pour yields a large foamy head that soon dissipates. There are small splashes of lacing throughout.
The aroma opens with a zesty tang, with notes of lemon coupled with herbal notes of grass. The bready malt has a toasty quality to it. Overall, this smells on the sweet side, with fruity and floral hops throughout.
The taste highlights soft bready, toasty and biscuity malts. It tastes on the sweeter side as the malts are supported by fruity and floral hops. The bitterness is not particularly aggressive, while the yeast produces flavors that are more estery than clean. There is some mild and zesty lemon lime tartness and grassy and peppery spice.
Medium to light bodied with a crisp mouthfeel and lively carbonation. The finish is short, dry and with a citrusy flavor.
This beer had a nice flavor but was on the fruity side. I liked it, although I prefer Pilsners to be a bit more clean tasting and more bitter.
