A thanks to the commander of the canquest, woodychandler, for this beer. Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a hazy golden color with a 1 inch head. Smell is of tropical fruits. Taste is passion fruit, light grapefruit, a touch of spices, moderate bitterness. Feels medium/full bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer.

Pours a cloudy dirty straw color with a finger of head. The nose has both earthy and dank notes. There's more maltiness found here than in most beers of this style and it blends decently with the overripened tropical fruit flavors. The body seems dense for the style.

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass.
Deep opaque orange body, with a good solid three finger tall and clumpy head. Settles with a creamy top and chunk middle column, and some little lacing as well.
Nice aroma. Deep hits of earth and tropical notes. Musty sweetness, with a touch of perfume like smelling earth and dank control. Hits with large gusto but controlled with just a touch of caramel sensing sweetness as well.
Palate is good, but a bit high on sugars. Thick bodied, just a little much, hinting at syrupy tones of big earthy hop qualities. A good dank mix of brown sugar and weedy flavors comes through real nicely. Finishes a bit heavy, touches a little boozy with a light pine sensation.
Pretty good IPA, but comes in a little heavy and sweet.

From the can it pours a hazy orange color. A large foam head retains well and yields lacing.
Fruity nose displays zesty notes of citrus and fermenting tropical fruit. Aromas include pineapple juice, mango, passion fruit, candied orange, grapefruit and lime. Herbal aromas develop later on and add a touch of grass.
Full bodied with a soft and frothy mouthfeel and moderately carbonated. Very juicy and hops forward with a soft doughy malt, creamy oats and wheat base. Tropical flavors of pineapple, mango and passion fruit. Zesty notes of candied oranges, pithy grapefruit and lime juice. A developing bitterness begins to unfold, bringing forth grassy, piney and peppery spices. The finish, juicy at first, becomes increasingly peppery and dry with a hops burn.
Nice brew. A little sweet at first but it has some spice and bitterness to balance it out. I would consider this to be a NEIPA.
