On tap at Dewey Beer Co, Dewey Beach, DE.
Pours a hazy beige color. Not much of a head but a modest ring retains.
Tropical aromas of mango, passion fruit, pineapple and honeyed malts. There is a complimentary citrus aroma that evokes lime in particular.
Juicy and smooth with an opening honey dough malt sweetness. Full bodied, chewy and gently carbonated. It is well balanced by ample fruity hops spices. Notes of zesty citrus, lime, candied oranges, tropical fruit, peach, apricot amidst honey biscuity malts. Smooth and creamy finish with a touch of resiny bitterness.
An IPA on the sweeter side that is nevertheless balanced by a touch of bitterness from the fruity, rather than herbal, resins of the hops. I enjoyed it.
