On tap at Dewey Beer Co, Rehoboth Beach, DE.
Pours a turbid orange color. A thumbnail length head retains well and yields lacing.
In the nose there is a burst of tropical fruit. Aromas of mango, pineapple, guava, papaya and passion fruit.
Very juicy, full bodied and mouth coating. Tropical fruit flavors align with the aroma and are supported by creamy and sweet malts. Fruity and sweet finish that has a touch of alcohol spice. The carbonation is gentle and the mouthfeel is smooth overall. The balance lies in a very modest bitterness and alcohol spice that doesn’t overpower.
Very sweet but this is to be expected given the high ABV. To its credit, it doesn’t feel too boozy and has some interesting complexity.
