Pours a hazy orange color. A large foam head displays great retention and lacing.
The nose is tropical and juicy with aromas of pineapple, mango, passion fruit, orange, peach and even banana. Amidst this hoppy bouquet of fruit, the grain aromas are just underneath the surface and evoke notes of lightly baked bread.
As with the aroma, the taste is dominated by juicy fruit flavors supported by a bready malt and creamy oats backbone. The hops display clean fruity resins and little to no herbal spice to start. Notes of pineapple, passion fruit, mango, peach, grapefruit and orange. Midway, the sharpness of the hops come into focus, displaying modest touches of pine resin and a subtle bitterness.
Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. The finish is resiny and dry. The carbonation is moderate.
This grew on me as the hops spices began to balance the juiciness. I would have again.
