Pours a very hazy, nearly turbid color. A very large creamy head billows up to the top and retains well. It yields plenty of rings of lacing.
The nose opens with citrus fruit followed by pungent and resiny tropical fruit. Aromas of lime, lemon, pineapple banana, papaya, and passion fruit. Herbal notes of grass, chives and pine.
The taste opens with a plush malt backbone, ultra smooth and with tons of creamy oats, providing a soft pillow for the ensuing hops burst. Packed with a generous amount of juicy and resinous fruit, flavors include pineapple, mango, papaya and passion fruit. In addition, citrusy notes of grapefruit, lemon and lime pair well with gentle but assertive herbal spices of pineapple, grass and chives.
Full bodied, and as previously stated, a pillowy soft and creamy mouthfeel. The finish is smooth and semi dry and with a resiny linger. The carbonation is moderate to gentle.
This DIPA drinks very well for its strength and it has nice hops flavors. I would have again.
