Dark and rich notes of toasted nuts and a subtle hint of chocolate. Never underestimate what’s hidden in the dark.

A - Chestnut colored pour with a thin frothy layer on top.
S - Nutty, toasty caramel malt with some slight earthy citrus.
T - Toasty caramel malt with light earthy, spicy citrus over top that ends perfectly balanced.
M - Big medium body with a viscous body that leaves a sugar coated lip smacking layers on the lips.
O - This is a really nice D-Bock worth checking out.

Pours a dark caramel color, looking semi clear in the glass. A large foam head soon dissipates.
The nose opens with aromas of toasted and biscuity malts, with notes of sweet alcohol and dark fruit. Notes of lightly roasted/nutty malts and a hint of earthy hops.
Opens sweet with rich notes of malts and alcohol. There is a subtle yet firm hops bitterness that helps balance. Notes of lightly roasted malts, dark toast, chocolate, dark fruit, caramel, grass and earthy resins.
Full bodied and smooth. Finish is semi dry and warming. The carbonation is moderate to gentle.
Glad to see this brewery’s take on the style. It’s pretty strong but fun to sip. I would have again.
