Pouring out of the can, it looks clear and golden. However, in the glass it looks quite hazy and with an orange tint. Large foam white head retains well, lots of frothy lacing.
The nose opens with subdued citrusy and fruity/floral notes; not particularly pungent or dank. Aromas of grapefruit, orange, subtle notes of tropical fruit, fresh cut flowers, melon, honey, oak and vanilla.
Taste is sweet throughout with a firm malt backbone that evokes notes of biscuit, honey and creamy wheat. Hops flavors start off gently with notes of clean fruity resins. Bitterness intensifies somewhat, midway through. Flavors of grapefruit, orange, melon, berries and pineapple, later, becoming more herbal with notes of pine resin.
Full bodied with a soft and creamy mouthfeel. Finish is smooth with some alcohol spice. Carbonation is moderate.
Loaded with hops flavors, yet, the sweetness and slight booziness put it a bit out of balance. Not bad, but not my favorite from this brewery.
