Pours a clear golden color with a moderate foam head that retains well. Lots of frothy lacing clings to the glass.
The nose opens with clean notes of bread, cracker and well spiced with grassy and woodsy notes. Then, aromas of lemon, sweet biscuit, honey, lightly floral and fruity, and a touch of alcohol sweetness.
Despite its crispness, the taste highlights bready and biscuity malts, chewy and rounded. Nicely hopped with grassy and earthy hops, the bitterness is gentle but balancing. Notes of caramel, lemon, Toast and honey.
Medium bodied, even full for the style. Mouthfeel is mostly crisp, but smooth too. Carbonation is moderate.
An extra strength Czech Pilsner, pretty tasty and balanced. I would have again.
