Well, it ain't purrdy. Now that it can be observed, as the contents of a pint can have been emptied into a clear glass liter mug. It's brown-mauve in color, dull and murky. There's a modest light orange-biege head that has pureed fruit particles in it. So far, it seems to be enduring. The aroma is pleasant, mostly berry, with the raspberry somewhat more dominant, a little lemon and a hint of vanilla ice cream, most likely from lactose. To taste, there's more lemon than expected, but that's a good thing. The citrus bite is a great counterbalance to the berry and lactose inclusions. The tartness helps make a delightful finish. Even though the head has totally disappeared and there's no real glass lacing, this just starts to look better after tasting. The body is supple and smooth enough. Certainly, the lactose adds body, but does so without making the mouthfeel sticky, nor too thick across the tongue. With a 7% ABV, which isn't noticed, this may actually go down a little too nicely. Overall, this is a fruited dessert beer and if you don't like them, you probably won't like it. If you have an open mind, this likely will surprise you, in a good way. If this is a style enjoyed, it's just about a must try.

6 oz pour on draft at Lures Bar & Grille. Bright and tart fruit flavors are the star here, mainly raspberry and lemon. There is a nice wheat flavor as well. This is one of the better fruited sours I've had lately. Not too thick, chunky, or syrupy - very refreshing.
