$7.99 USD plus tax per sixer at an Aldi grocer in Houston, TX:
"India Pale Ale with natural flavors." 6.9% ABV.
Artificial grapefruit flavour runs amok through this otherwise insipid IPA. Hop profile is dull and boring, but why bother with anything interesting when the hops are just going to get eclipsed by pungent tinned grapefruit puree anyway?
Sometimes you get what you pay for. Then again, sometimes what you want might just be a discount grocery chain's attempt to mimic Ballast Point's Grapefruit Sculpin. I can enjoy this one for what it is.

Poured semi clear golden with a soft froth that dissipated quickly. Aroma of pink grapefruit, can’t tell if the grapefruit is an added flavor, it’s rather obvious and annoying. It’s an Aldi product, value and all, but it’s just ok.

Wild Range Grapefruit Flavored IPA has a medium, off-white head and a translucent, yellow-orange appearance, with bubbles and a bit of lacing. The aroma is of pungent grapefruit and white bread crust. The flavor is of sweet, white bread crust and bitter grapefruit. Wild Range Grapefruit Flavored IPA has a medium body and a dry finish.

12 oz. bottle, another new drop to the Aldi beer section. This one apparently brewed with grapefruit 'flavor'.
A: Nice typical honey golden IPA body. Finger of soapy white froth head. Doesn't look bad in all honesty.
S: Grapefruit aroma hits me immediately upon uncapping. Authenticity is to be determined, however. Aromas of grapefruit, honey, white sugar, almost radler-esque.
T: Big bitter flavors of grapefruit, rind, juice, zest. Pairs well with the flavors of pine & citrus from the hops.
F: Crisp, fairly clean, easy-drinking. Well carbonated, good abv.
Overall, not breaking any new ground, that's for sure, but the grapefruit compliments the base beer nicely, and if you factor in the price - 7.99 a six pack - this is a winner for sure. I drank four from the bottle last night, and I'd say these are probably best straight out of the bottle.
Wild Range Brewing Company Grapefruit Flavored IPA -----4/5.
