A deep golden and balanced American pale ale that drinks lighter than 6.9% abv. Brewed with simcoe, warrior and willamete hops and dry hopped with another 5 ounces for aroma. A little something for all the senses.

Draft Lithology Legal APA (American Pale Ale) served at a restaurant in Patchogue, NY, before dinner May 8, 2017. Color between golden and amber with a slight haze. Aroma was not evident because of the chilled serving temperature.
This was the first Lithology beer I have tried. Legal APA flavor made me a believer. The beer has a great thirst quenching malt body and hoppy balance. Legal APA was good cold and got better as it warmed up. Its initial head was small, but left some lacing as the glass emptied. It was a fine brew to accompany our tacos and burgers. I wasn't aware of the 6.9% alcohol at the time we drank it, and the flavor gave no hint of the oncoming wallop.
This is an extremely good brew from yet another new brewery.
update May, 2020. I was recently given a can of Legal APA. My review above still holds up. I had this brew at about 50F. No hint of haze. Tastes very good. Just a little too astringent.
